At the same time, in the Committee of Automobile Roads, in connection with the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further improve the system of seismic safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and on the subject of "earthquake resistance requirements in man-made structures and studying the consequences of an earthquake, ways to reduce its damage" is being held.

    Officials of the Committee for Roads, experts of road organizations and enterprises took part in the seminar. In order to provide information to the workers of the field about the earthquake and its consequences, the causes of its origin, specialist M. Mirzaev of the Institute of Seismology named after G. Mavlonov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Seismic Institute of Mechanics and Constructions named after M.T. Orazboev of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.A. Nishonov, specialist of the Institute of Stability, and specialists of the Emergency Situations Department of Tashkent city were invited.

    At the event, experts in the field presented the essence of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on seismic safety, as well as scientific views on earthquakes and their causes, definition of earthquakes, hypocenter, epicenter, depth of earthquake, internal structure of the earth and O Concepts of seismic risk for the territory of Uzbekistan and information about the 8-point earthquake recorded in the city of Tashkent on April 26, 1966 were given.

   Also, at the seminar, experts answered the questions of the participants about the preparation of citizens for proper movement before, during and after the earthquake.
