Bucheon University to be established in Tashkent
On July 2, 2018, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a Resolution on establishment of Bucheon University in the city of Tashkent.
The document has been adopted to organize the training of highly qualified personnel with higher education in accordance with generally recognized international requirements and standards, replenish the long-term shortage of teachers and educators in preschool education institutions of the country, form an innovative environment, further develop long-term relations with leading higher education institutions of developed foreign countries.
The main tasks of the University are training highly qualified personnel in the field of preschool education, architecture and design, as well as other popular areas of education in accordance with prospects of the country's socio-economic development, as well as tasks defined by the Action Strategy on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, and others.
Admission to the University is carried out in the areas of pre-school education, Korean language, as well as architecture and design from 2018/2019 academic year from among those who have a general secondary, secondary special, vocational education, through entrance exams, the form, procedure and period of which are determined by the Bucheon University (Republic of Korea) in coordination with the Ministry of Preschool Education and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
