President Shavkat Mirziyoyev meets with Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of Afghanistan
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has received Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of Afghanistan, who has been in our country on a working visit.
The meeting served to discuss topical issues in bilateral cooperation and assistance to peace process in Afghanistan.
The head of our state noted with deep satisfaction the dynamics of Uzbek-Afghan relations in recent years. Efforts to enhance practical interaction and promote priority projects in trade, economy, investments, transport and logistics, energy, education and other key areas were emphasized.
Readiness was expressed to actively participate in infrastructure projects of regional importance in Afghanistan.
Thanking President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm welcome, Abdullah Abdullah highly valued the efforts of the Uzbek side that contributed to the launch of intra-Afghan peace talks and the consolidation of the international community's actions designed to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan.
The guest expressed gratitude for constant assistance and highlighted Uzbekistan's input into the engagement of Afghanistan in regional trade and economic processes.
