President held an expanded meeting of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan

According to the Press Service of the Head of the state, on January 31, 2018, an expanded meeting of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. 

The meeting was attended by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 

Activities carried out by the prosecutor's office, its tasks within the framework of democratic reforms in the country were discussed. 

The Head of the state dwelled on priority tasks of the prosecutor's office. 

It was noted that employees of the prosecutor's office should mobilize all their potential, knowledge and experience for effective implementation of reforms. Strict enforcement of practical implementation of the adopted laws, decrees and resolutions should become the most important and urgent task of the prosecutor's office. 

Attention of participants of the meeting was drawn to the need for guaranteeing by the bodies of the prosecutor's office of providing comprehensive support to entrepreneurship, which is the basis of prosperous life, as well as creating conditions for foreign investors to freely carry out their activities in the country. 

Another important task of prosecutors as sector heads is helping development of the regions in order to achieve positive changes in life of the population. 

Improving public administration, based on the interests of people, requires increasing the role of prosecutors in ensuring the rule of law in society. 

Summing up the results, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that employees of the prosecutor's office should lead by example for employees of state bodies, showing high professionalism and the best human qualities in their activities, always stand guard over justice and law. 

Organizational issue was considered at the meeting. 

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Otabek Murodov, who previously worked as the State Advisor to the President, was appointed to the post of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
