Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave a presidential oath at the joint session of the parliamentary chambers.

At the solemn ceremony, chairman of the Central Election Commission Mirza-Ulugbek Abdusalomov congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev with winning the elections on 4 December and handed over the corresponding certificate.

Then Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave the following oath according to the Constitution:

"I solemnly swear to faithfully serve the people of Uzbekistan, to strictly follow the Constitution and the laws of the republic, to guarantee the rights and freedoms of the citizens and conscientiously fulfil the duties of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan".
