An extended meeting of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is being held at the Academy of the Armed Forces.

On November 22, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, devoted to issues of reforming the banking system and strengthening the financial stability of banks, enhancing the role of commercial banks in development of regions and entrepreneurship.

On November 9, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev dedicated to the analysis of the results of ongoing reforms on development of healthcare system, coverage of regional residents with high-quality medical care, strengthening the material and technical base of medical institutions, as well as identifying future priorities.

One of the current issues for agricultural complex is procurement and export of fruits and vegetables. However, at the meeting on issues of integrated development of agriculture it was noted that due to lack of well-coordinated work of the Ministry of Agriculture, Uzbekoziqovqatholding company and regional leaders, the 100% fulfillment of the export forecast is under threat.

On October 24, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on the issues of further developing higher education, improving the quality of training personnel, expanding the integration of science and production.

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin visited Uzbekistan on a state visit.
