On April 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting dedicated to issues of qualitative organization and acceleration of activities on improvement of villages in accordance with the program "Obod qishloq" ("Prosperous village"). On April 23, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, two years ago, on April 19, 2016, launched the construction of Kandym Gas Processing Complex in Bukhara region. For the past time, a large industrial complex and a small town have been built here.
