On May 15, 2018, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Washington, DC at the invitation of the President of the United States of America Donald Trump. 

On May 12, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the commander of United States Central Command, General Joseph Leonard Votel, who is in Uzbekistan on a working visit. 

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the President of the United States of America Donald Trump, will pay the first official visit to the U.S. on May 15-17, 2018. 

At the festive event dedicated to the Day of Memory and Honor and the 73rd Anniversary of Victory in the World War II, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted that our people admire the feat of respected veterans, workers of the rear, consider a sacred duty to honor the memory of servicemen, law enforcement officers who died in the name of freedom of our independent homeland, peace and tranquility of people, take care of their families and children. 

On May 7, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. 

On May 3, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Korea led by the Chairman of the Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation, Song Young-gil. 

A meeting under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held at the khokimiyat of Naryn district with participation of the region's activists, khokims, sector leaders and other responsible persons. 

Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan took part in Uzbekistan – Turkey business forum, in Uzexpocentre. Within its framework, agreements were reached on implementation of more than 50 new investment projects worth $3 billion. 

On April 29, the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 

On April 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting dedicated to issues of qualitative organization and acceleration of activities on improvement of villages in accordance with the program "Obod qishloq" ("Prosperous village"). This was reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
