On March 23, a meeting dedicated to effectiveness of the ongoing activities on accelerated development of agriculture and deepening reforms in this sphere was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

On March 17, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Samarkand region for becoming familiarized with the progress of socio-economic reforms, construction and landscaping activities, new projects at places, and for conducting dialogue with people.

During the discussion of security issues at the first consultation meeting of the heads of Central Asian states in Astana it was noted that today all countries of the region are facing threats of terrorism, religious extremism, transnational crime and drug trafficking. 

At the meeting that was held on March 14, under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the ministries of finance and agriculture were given instructions on development of a program for production and delivery of agricultural machinery in 2018-2021 within two months, providing for measures on financing the delivery of equipment to customers in order to fully meet the demand for agricultural machinery of JSC "Uzagrotechsanoatholding". 

After the meeting of the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, negotiations took place in an expanded format with participation of official delegations. 

On March 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit for conducting bilateral interdepartmental consultations. 

The President of Uzbekistan talked with representatives of public, aksakals, youth and entrepreneurs of Tamdin, Uchkuduk, Kanimekh districts and Zarafshan city. During the conversation, the reforms implemented in the country, creation of great opportunities, activation of friendly relations with neighboring states, employment of people, improvement of well-being of the population, as well as the water supply in Tamdin district, upbringing the younger generation were discussed. 

On February 28, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received credentials from ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Irfan Yusuf Shami, the Swiss Confederation Olivier Shave, the Republic of Latvia Mihails Popkovs, the State of Israel Edward Shapira, the Federal Republic of Germany Gunther Overfield, the Slovak Republic Jan Boris and the People's Republic of China Jiang Yan. 

On February 27, a meeting devoted to analysis of execution of tasks on increasing exports and reducing imports, activities that are being carried out in this area in industries and regions was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
