On August 17, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saken Jasuzakov, who is in our country on an official visit. 

On August 16, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the minister of higher and secondary special education I.Majidov, director of the Center for secondary special and professional education M.Kholmukhamedov, minister of public education U.Inoyatov and their deputies and heard their reports for acquaintance with the course of preparation for the new academic year, ensuring mutual integration between schools of general education and institutions of secondary specialized, professional and higher education, the state of activities on introduction of the system of 11-year secondary education, radically reforming the system of secondary specialized, professional education, organization of activities of new higher educational institutions, and branches. 

On August 11, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the city of Almalyk. A solemn ceremony devoted to the beginning of activity on the investment project "The second stage of Almalyk mining and metallurgical combine" was held. 

On August 10, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the president of the World Taekwondo Federation Choue Chungwon. 

On August 9, a videoconference under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held in Tashkent. It was devoted to the execution of tasks over the past 7 months of this year and achievement of the goals outlined in the Action Strategy for the development of our country, in renewal of all spheres of the state and society life, liberalization of the economy and creation of decent living conditions for the population, as well as during the dialogues of the head of our state with people at places. 

On August 8, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Jin Liqun, who is in our country on a working visit. 

On August 4, 2017, a videoconference under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was held. It was dedicated to implementation of major and significant investment projects included in the Investment program for 2017, expected outcomes on the results of the current year, as well as execution of tasks identified during the trips of the head of our state to Andijan region and Chilanzar district of the city of Tashkent. 

On August 3, 2017, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with representatives of the country's creative intelligentsia. At the meeting, a detailed exchange of views took place on actual issues of development of the national culture, literature and art, ways of addressing them, important tasks facing creative unions and state organizations in this direction.
